Permits to register in a closed or evening course
All request for permits for closed and evening classes must be done in person in the Math Office - 4W1 DRL. You should see Robin Toney or Paula Scarborough. No permits are issued before the first day of classes for closed or evening classes.
We only issue permits for closed classes if the closed section is the only section that fits in the students schedule. We do not issue permits for CGS (evening) courses unless there is a daytime scheduling conflict. The permit will be revoked when the conflict ceases to exist.
If you have conflicts due to sports you should contact Rosemary Burnett in the Athletics Dept., Weightman Hall, 898-9479, who will get in touch with us in the Math office.
You should register for the same sections of recitations and lectures; otherwise Penn-in-Touch will drop both registrations. You also need to register for both the recitation and the corresponding lecture. We advise students to continue checking Penn-In-Touch up until the first week of classes to find openings for previously closed classes.
