COURSE REQUIREMENTS: Your grade for the course will be based on

Homework and computer (www) assignments (15%)

Quizzes (35%);

Midterms (40%)

Poster (10%);

Each week there will be one or two 25-minute quizzes based on the homework assignment for the week. There will be no make up quizzes; however, you will be allowed to drop your lowest two quiz grades. The quiz will be given at the end of the period. For each miniquiz, you can prepare two index cards (both sides) with notes of your choice.

HOMEWORK AND ASSIGNMENTS: Each assignment will consist of the relevant core problems, problems from past final exams, plus additional work from the text or other sources.

EXAMS: There will be two exams with total worth 40%. For each exam, you can prepare one 8.5 by 11 sheet of paper (both sides) with notes of your choice.
