I am a third-year graduate student in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Pennsylvania. I am interested in differential geometry, especially spaces with non-positive curvature and geometric group theory. I was an undergraduate at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota and attended Grigore Moisil High School in Timisoara, Romania.

I am the Vice Chair for Communications in the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly. I can help you get funding for a student event, publicize your event or find help in the UPenn student government. I am also involved with Penn Graduate Women in Science and Engineering (PGWISE).

Projects, papers and talks

Marked Length Spectrum Rigidity - survey in progress
Morse Theory and the Gauss-Bonnet Formula - my Masters thesis!
Curvature and the Fundamental Group
Volumes of tubes around submanifolds of the sphere - rough draft, or an appendix to my masters thesis
Does curvature determine the metric?

Other projects - my senior theses, translations, presentations, photography,...

Teaching

If you are an undergraduate student interested in Math, you should consider: I'd be happy to tell you more about these programs and help with your applications.

When I'm not doing math...

Here are the Sierra Club "amazons", on the famous Puerto Rico trip, and the Sturdy Girls. There is also the page of a cute physicist.
