A Motion Planning Laboratory, Carleton College, Spring 2004
My Computer Science senior thesis is an implementation of an environment for developing and testing robot motion planning algorithms. We are also providing implementations for some of the most representative algorithms in the field.

Sphere Packing and Kepler's conjecture, Carleton College, Fall 2003
My Mathematics senior thesis presentation is an exposition of the general theory and tools of sphere packing. I am also surveying the latest developments in the field: a possible proof of Kepler's 400-year old conjecture.
Grace Hopper
Collaborative Research Experience for Women at Carleton (CREW), Carleton College, Spring 2003
I worked on extracting FAQs from usenet messages; in the process, my teammates and I developed tools to request and analyze detailed information about usenet messages.
bishop john
The Holy Bishop John
A religious text translated from Romanian, The Holy Bishop John tells the story of an Ukrainian bishop who manages to escape the 1917 Revolution. He finds a new home and spiritual fulfillment in the Romanian mountains.
Literary translation in general is difficult; translating religious texts seems to be even more difficult.

How to Get Into an American College, Summer 2000 - the link is dead, unfortunately.
An online guide for Romanian high school students interested in college education in the US. I had a lot of fun working on this during the summer before Carleton, and I hope it's still useful to the people back home.
