Homework Policy:
The homework is assigned every Thursday (in class and/or on Blackboard);
it is due promptly before 5 PM on the Friday of the following week. Turn in homework either
- to me personally in recitation or during office hours;
- under my office door (DRL 4C9); DO NOT PLACE HOMEWORK IN MY DOOR BOX
- my mailbox in the math office (DRL 4W1/4W2).
Late homework will not be accepted!
Homework must be neat, well-organized, and legible. Ragged margins, multi-column and otherwise over-dense formats,
and unstapled sheets are unacceptable.
Homework is graded for correctness (2 exercises, 4 pts each) and completeness (2 pts).
This makes a total score of 10 pts per homework. The two lowest homeworks will be dropped.
Quiz Policy
Starting the week of Jan 23, there is a quiz every week except the week
of the midterm (and the week of spring break). Every quiz covers the stuff of the last homework
and is worth 10 pts. No quiz will be dropped.
