  • I am going to distribute the take-home final in class on Wed, June 27. It is going to be due in class on Thu, June 28. You have to work on it INDIVIDUALLY.
    NO MAKEUPS, NO MISSED EXAMS, NO LATE PAPERS

  • On Thu I am going to give a brief overview of Ch.15 (during the first hour), and then I am going to distribute a problem or two if someone wants to a add a few points to their exam score.

    COURSE ORGANISATION:

  • Homework and Practice Problems: I am going to assign these daily, but will not collect them. They are supposed to prepare you for the
  • Exams - we are going to have exams after each week of class. There will be four of these and they will take place on Tuesdays. This will make it easier on the
  • Final, which will then cover mostly the material from the last 2-3 weeks (details in class).
  • A-problems: There will be several sets of more interesting/challenging problems for those who are aiming at an A-type grade.
  • Participation: it is always encouraged. We are going to discuss problems, examples, ideas, and if you take part in these discussions, it will be easier for me to determine your grade if you are stuck between the grade ranges.
  • Grade: 70% exams (4 x 17.5%), 20% final, 10% A-problems.
