These are problems that I expect you to solve. The first quizz may consist of problems similar to these ones. If you cannot solve some of these ask at the beginning of the first recitation.

#1. What is the domain and range of the function f(x) = square root of (4-x).

#2. What is the domain and range of the function f(x) = square root of (1-x^2).

#3. Graph the function y = -(x)^(2/3).

#4. Does the following limit exist? If yes, what is it? If no, why doesn't it exist?

          lim_x->0 x/|x|.

#5. Compute the limit lim_x->3/2(4x^2-8x+3)/(2x-3) .
