The Basics:
I'm a graduate student in mathematics at the University of Pennsylvania. I'm now in my fourth year, having passed my orals in low-dimensional topology/algebraic topology and differential geometry. I'm working towards my Ph.D. under the supervision of John Etnyre. In the meantime, I also have several ongoing research projects with Herman Gluck, Dennis DeTurck, and Clay Shonkwiler. Here's a copy of my Curriculum Vitae for anyone who's interested.
Research: My interests generally lie in the realm of low-dimensional topology and geometry. I'm particularly interested in contact geometry, knot theory, the topology of 3 and 4 manifolds, and how these topics all link with one another.
Not Research: Once upon a time I helped co-organize the graduate student pizza seminar here at Penn. If you're interested in talking in said seminar, you should email Andrew Rupinski.
