MIDTERM
EXAMS.
Tuesday February 27 in class
Tuesday April 3 in class
As
things stand now, all exams (midterms and final) in our class will be multiple
choice,
with no partial credit.
To
get credit for a question, you must circle the correct answer (and no others),
and you must show supporting work which in our
opinion is sufficient to derive
the answer.
No
books, notes, calculators or computers during the exam...except that you may
use one
8 1/2 by 11 inch sheet of paper with information
written on both sides.
There
will be no makeup midterm exams..
FINAL
EXAM.
The
common final exam for all Math 151 classes is scheduled for Tuesday May 8.
HOMEWORK.
Homework,
including Maple problems, will be assigned on a regular basis and is due in
your recitation leader's office box by Friday of the week after which it is
assigned.
No
late homework papers will be accepted.
GRADES.
20%
for first midterm exam
20%
for second midterm exam
30%
for homework and quizzes and attendance and participation in recitations
30%
for final exam
There
will be no makeup quizzes.
Incompletes
(I's) will not be given to avoid F's.
OFFICE
HOURS.
As
a matter of practicality, you should first consult the TA in charge of your
recitation
section. But all of us teaching Math 151 will be
