Final Exam for Math 141, Spring 1998
Final Exam
The final exam was held on Fri., May 1, 11am-1pm. It covered the entire
syllabus of Math 141, corresponding to Chapters 8-15 of Stewart, except
for Chapter 14. The exam consisted of 20 multiple choice questions, each
worth one point, for a total possible score of 20.
Grades may be interpreted as follows:
- 17-20: very good
- 13-16: good
- 10-12: fair
- 6-9: poor
- 0-5: unsatisfactory
The class as a whole did well on the exam. The average score on the
exam was 16 and the median score on the exam was 17, in Math 141 Lecture
3. This was higher than in Math 141 as a whole (all three lectures), for
which the collective median was 15.
Extra credit was given to those who handed in the sample final exams
prior to the due dates.
