MATH 141, LECTURE 3 MAPLE PROJECT #2 Due Mon., March 30, 1998 at 5pm, to TA. Do any two of these six items in the Lab Manual. Be sure to provide explanations of what you are doing, not just Maple printout. Note that some problems can be done without Maple. You may hand in one copy for your entire study group. Be sure to write on it the names of those people in the group who contributed to the effort (including your own, if appropriate). 1. Taylor series problems: #7,8 (p. 225). 2. Newton's method problem: #11 (pp. 226-227). 3. Three-dimensional vector problems: #1,2 (p.229). 4. Higher dimensional vector problem: #10 (pp.230-231). [Note corrections: Part (a) should read, "... listed as (6) of p.692 ..." and part (d) should read, "...listed as (2) of p.697 ...".] 5. Graph problems: #11 (p.235) and #19 (p.237). 6. Equation problem: #22 (p.238). Extra credit: Do one or two additional items from among the above six. (One unit of extra credit for each additional correctly done problem.)
