Policies on Quizzes, Homework Assignments and Exams:

    Grade

Your final grade has 25% of Quiz, 30% of the Midterm and 45% of Final Exam.
During the course, some problems are given for the students who want the extra credit. The possible extra credit is 10 points. The complete solution of one of these problems counts 1 point.
You can get A (even A+) without any extra credit!
The HW assignment is given for each section. You must do the HW problems when the section is finished in class. I will not collect the HW.

    Quiz

We will have 9 quizzes for these 6 weeks. Each quiz will take 20 minutes at the end of the class (6:00pm - 6:20pm). There will be three 3 problems in each quiz. They are exactly from the HW problems in the given sections.
There will be no make-up quiz. The lowest one will be dropped off from your final grade.
No textbook, no calculator, no formula sheet, no class note are allowed during the quiz.

    Exams

We will have ONE midterm as scheduled below. You are only allowed to bring ONE PAGE A4 size formula sheet during the midterm.
The last day of the class will be the final exam. You are only allowed to bring TWO PAGES A4 size formula sheet during the final exam.
There will be NO make-up midterm.
