    Syllabus: The first 12 chapters of the book

    Your course grade will be computed as follows:

  • 20% Homework & Quizzes
  • 40% Midterm Exams
  • 40% Final Exam
  • There will be NO makeup Quizzes either midterm exams unless due to a medical EMERGENCY in which case a NOTE from a doctor is required.

    Exams :

    There will be two closed book midterm exams scheduled for Friday, February 18, 2011 and Friday, April 1, 2011. You are not allowed to use a calculator during the midterm and final exams. The final exam will be cumulative (covers all material), scheduled for MAY 3rd, 9-11AM, DRL A1 .

    Quizzes :

    There will be 6 quizzes given in recitation. The quizzes will be graded, and the worst score will be dropped.

    Homework :

    Homework will be assigned weekly. Suggested homework assignments will be posted on this page every Friday afternoon. Homework is due on the next Friday by 5pm in your TA's mailboxes. Your TAs will let you know the location of their mailboxes.
