Math 240
CALCULUS III

We will learn the technology of matrices to efficiently solve systems of linear equations. We then study linear differential equations, as well as systems of linear differential equations, for which the language of matrices will again be essential. We also spend some time on series solutions of differential equations, and in particular learn about Legendre and Bessel functions. In the last part of the course, we will do a rapid review of double and triple integrals, which will lead to the Green's, Stokes' and Divergence theorems.
