    General Information

  • Syllabus
  • Textbook : Calculus by Stewart
  • 2 Midterms (30% * 2) : First midterm - Thu. May 31st (in class), Second - Thu. June 14th (in class)
  • Final (40%) : Thu. June 28th (in class)

    Homework :

Although you will NOT be graded for the homework, it is practically impossible to do well in the course without working out the homework assignments regularly and without attending the weekly recitation. Math is one of those subjects that require 1% inspiration and 99% percent perspiration to do well, and it is unlikely that you will prove it otherwise during this course! A good strategy for doing the homework is to work in study groups.

    Reading :

You are responsible for reading the sections from the textbook the week they are covered in class. During lectures, I may emphasize some parts of the reading and occasionally omit other parts that I consider more straightforward, but you are responsible for all the reading.

    Exam Policy :

There will be no make up midterm exams.
No books, no notes, no calculators are allowed during the exam.
You are allowed to bring a "cheat sheet" to the exams, a regular size sheet of paper with formulas on both sides.
