Homework 7

The seventh homework assignment will be due Thursday, July 27 at 2:00 pm.

Do the following problems from Stewart's text:

• Section 11.5, problems 2, 4, 12, 14, 20, 22
• Section 11.6, problems 1, 2, 3, 19
• Section 12.1, problems 5, 7, 9, 17, 24, 50, 65. (For 65 you may assume the result of 52a.)
• Section 12.2, problems 9, 41, 45, 51, 65. (For an extra challenge -- and a bit of extra credit -- in 65a, give a rational number m/n, where m and n have no common divisor and n is not a power of 3, which is a member of the Cantor set.
• Section 12.3, problems 3, 5, 11, 28, 33
