I plan to cover the first 12 chapters of the book if time allows.

Exam 1, Wednesday, February 17th, 11am -noon in the class (LRSM Aud.)

There will be no make up midterm exams offered unless due to a medical emergency in which case a note from a doctor is required.

Exams : There will be two closed book midterm exams tentatively scheduled for the above dates. You are not allowed to use a calculator during the midterm and final exams.  The final exam will be cumulative (covers all material).  It will count for 40 % of your final grade.

Homework : Homeworks will be assigned weekly. Suggested homework assignments will be found here.
Homework is due on Fridays by 5pm in your TA's mailboxes. Your TAs will let you know the location of their mailboxes.
The first homework is due by Friday, January 22nd by 5pm.

Quizzes : There will be 5 anounced quizzes given throughout the semester in recitation.  The quizzes will be graded but the worst score will be dropped (will not be used in calculating your final quiz grade). There will be no makeup quizzes.
