HOMEWORK IS DUE IN RECITATION.
All problems handed in are to include a verbal explanation of the answer; computations alone are not sufficient. Once you leave Penn, you will be expected to communicate the outcome of your work--including your methods as well as your actual results--and this is intended to give you some early practice at such communication. The same will be true on exams. The Assignments:
Each assignment lists the sections in the text for a given week and the problems that it is recommended you work through on your own, as well as a small number of problems to be handed in to your TA at the start of your recitation.
