The course covers chapters: 6 through 10

Prerequisites
MATH360

Course description
This course is a continuation of MATH360. It provides foundations of differential and integral analysis, including the basic theory of several variable functions: differentiation, integration, introduction to differential manifolds and Fourier analysis. One important objective of this course is the training of students to recognize and to give proofs.

Homework
Biweekly homework will be mostly taken out of the textbook. Homework is an extremely important part of this course. You must turn in the problems individually. Extra credit problems will be available (sometimes).
For practice problems and the homework problems see the BlackBoard website.

Exams
There will be two midterms and the cumulative final exam. The midterms will be given during the lecture time on the following tentative dates
Mid-term I:   February 23, (2-3p)
Mid-term II:  March 23, (2-3p)
Final exam:  May 3, Thursday (9-11a)

Grade
The formula used to determine the final grade is as follows:
2 midterms: 35%
final: 35%

You may also expect a bonus for the active participation in the recitation session. The active participation includes but is not limited to  solving the suggested practice problems and presenting the solutions in the recitation session.

Individual grades and scores should be accessible through the BlackBoard website.
