Math 104, Fall 2009
I am teaching four sections of recitation for Professor Pemantle's Math 104 course.
Recitation Hours:
Section 201: Tuesday 8:30-9:30am, DRL 4C2
Section 202: Tuesday 9:30-10:30am, DRL 4C2
Section 203: Thursday 8:30-9:30am, DRL 4C2
Section 204: Thursday 9:30-10:30am, DRL 4C2
Tenative Office Hours:
Tuesday: 12:00-1:00pm
Wednesday: 2:30-3:30pm
Homework, Quiz, and Exam Policies:
Homeworks will not be graded. However, this is definitely not an invitation to ignore the homework! If you don't do your homeworks, you won't do as well on the graded portion of the class, so they are very important. I will also be giving a short quiz approximately every two weeks in recitation. These quizzes will be based on the homework. I will be dropping your lowest quiz grade, so if you are unable to attend one of the recitations with a quiz, that zero will be dropped.
If you have a special reason for being unable to take an exam (religious observance, sports, etc.) speak with or email Professor Pemantle during the first few weeks of class.
Emailing Me:
Although I am here to answer your 104 questions, email is a terrible medium for math questions. Please instead bring up your question in recitation or office hours. If you are uncomfortable asking questions in recitation, you can email me at least 24 hours before recitation and I will bring up the question anonymously. If doing so, please include your recitation section in case I don't remember which one you are in. Feel free to email me about other issues, however.
