Math 104 Midterm 2 Information

The make-up is scheduled on the same day from 7:30-9:00PM. Arrangements
to take the make-up must be made with your lecturer in advance.
Midterm 2 covers:
- Chapter 9: § 9.1 - § 9.5
- Chapter 12: § 12.1 - § 12.8
Note:
In Chapter 9, some of the applications are essential (you should
understand these in detail and expect a likelihood of one or more
problems on these) and some are inessential (on par with applications
that arise in your homework, practice problems, etc., and for which any
important formulae will be supplied).
Essential: arc length, surface area, center of mass, probability
densities.
Inessential: water pressure, blood flow, consumer surplus.
Exam Procedures:
- No calculators of any kind are permitted on the exam.
- You may bring one standard 8.5"*11" sheet of paper (both sides)
with handwritten notes (no textbook or typeset
stuff).
- Your student ID should be on your desk during the exam.
