SYLLABUS

Final Exam:
The final exam is cumulative and covers ALL of the material listed in
the syllabus. The final exam will count for 35% of your final course
grade. The Final Exam is scheduled for Thursday, May 3 (12:00-2:00pm)
in DRL A1.

Midterm Exams:
There will be two closed book midterm exams. The first exam will be on
Thursday, February 16 (10:30-12:00) in FAGN 118, and the second will be
on Tuesday, March 27 (10:30-12:00) in FAGN 118. You are not
allowed to use any calculators, cell phones, etc. during the midterm
and final exams but you can prepare and use one 8.5 by 11 sheet of
paper (both sides) with notes of your choice. The first midterm will
count as 25% of your final grade and the second midterm will count as
30% of your final grade.

Homework assignments:
The homework problems will be assigned every week.
The list of problems in the current assignment will be available every
Monday evening at the following link
HOMEWORK
You are responsible for writing up neatly and legibly solutions to the
problems from the homework assignment. The homework will be collected
weekly by your TA who will grade two problems at random from each
assignment. We will not accept any late homework. The homeworks
will count as 10% of your final grade.
