  • Homework:

You can turn in homework to my office by Friday of the following week
(or you can also turn in the homework in the recitation if you have done it by then).
Please staple your homework. No late homework will be accepted. Also, write up your solution clearly.

3 of your HW problems will be graded and each problem is worth 1 point.
Also, you will get a 2 points for completion for the Homework (so the maximam possible point is 5).

However, I will drop the lowest homework.

    Quizzes:

Everyweek, except the week of midterm or final, there will be a short (roughly 10 minutes) quiz.
One will be based on the homework problem and the other will be a random question from the book.
    There are no make-up quizzes.

You will get a 1 point for each correct answer, and 3 points for turning in the quiz at the end of the class.
In addition to the two problems, there will be one extra problem (harder than other two problems),
and you will get a 1 extra point for the correct answer (so the maximam possible point is 6).

However, I will drop the lowest quiz grade.

    Answers to the Diagnostic Test

A score of about 10/12 on Part II indicates you are probably prepared to take Math 104.
If you scored less than 10/20 on Part I, you should study hard to keep up with Math 103.
