The class meets on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:15 until 8:30 in Room 3C-8 of the DRL.
Attendance will be taken at each class by means of an "Attendance Quiz" . These are for practice and fun and will not count towards your grade.
The required text is Applied Partial Differential Equations by Richard Haberman(5th Edition)
There are three midterm exams in the course and a final exam. On each midterm exam , and on the Final Exam you may bring one 8.5 by 11 inch "cheat sheet". But no calculators of any kind may be used during the exams.
First Midterm : Tuesday February 17
Second Midterm : Thursday March 19
Third Midterm : Thursday April 23
Weekly homework will be assigned , collected and graded.

There will be NO make up exams for a missed midterm. In case of a genuinely necessary absence from a midterm exam the weight of the final exam will be increased to 50%
