It is required to write up the solution process for each problem. In particular, if you meet an extreme value problem, in addition to get the values, you will need to locate the critical points as well. For graph-function matching problems you can use the method of elimination, but be sure to write your reason for eliminating each choice you discarded.
About partial credits: The use of partial credits is just to distinguish between knowing something and nothing about a problem. It is not used to give people the most points possible for their answers. While I understand evreybody wants a higher score, it is not interesting in arguing about it. If you get the final answer wrong, I give at most 30% partial credit or less, which means 3 when the total points of a problem is 7, 8 or 9.
