Susquehanna International Group, LLP (SIG) is a prop trading firm built on quantitatively-driven decision making. In this session, Michael Catalano-Johnson, the Head of SIG’s Quant Research group, will share insight on the application of mathematics to finance, opportunities in the industry, and the impact your research can have on a firm like SIG. This talk will give you the opportunity to ask questions about the classes, work, and research proprietary trading firms look for of new grads.

Michael Catalano-Johnson joined SIG in 2001 working in numerous business units such as Equity Options and Equity Index throughout the firm. Before joining SIG, Michael worked as an Associate at the consulting firm Daniel H. Wagner Associates, and as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Swarthmore College. He is a graduate of New College of Florida and received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Brandeis University.
