The talk begins at 3:25 p.m. with tea served in the Math Lounge, Park 361 at 3:10 p.m.

Since the proof of the Taniyama{Shimura Conjecture by Wiles, many Galois representations have been shown to arise from modular forms. In this talk we will focus on Galois representations that look like they may arise from weight one modular forms which are congruent to an Eisenstein series. We will discuss a new result where we show that under certain conditions all such Galois representations indeed arise from weight one modular forms, but some of these forms may not be classical. This is joint work with Tobias Berger.
