This talk will outline work with Jakob Hansen on using sheaves of vector spaces to model the spread of opinions over social networks. By using the (Hodge) Laplacian, one can diffuse to (literally) harmonic opinion distributions where everyone expresses agreement. By programming the sheaves appropriately, private opinions can be held from frank expression.
