My research lies at the intersection of several complex variables and real algebraic geometry with occasional forays into model theory. Studying domains of finite type and subelliptic gain in the dbar-Neumann problem leads to various Nullstellensatz statements and looking at the real algebraic geometry of smooth functions, Denjoy-Carleman functions, and real-analytic functions.
