November 6 hints and answers

What is the maximum number of points of intersection when two distinct circles and three distinct lines intersect each other?

This one definitely requires a picture! Or perhaps lots of pictures. Keep in mind that you can vary the sizes and positions of the circles as well as the slopes of the lines. See how many intersection points you can find. The tricky part is knowing for sure that you've got the maximum numbers.

As always, be sure to explain the work you did to arrive at your answers!
