Problem Sets for Math 502, Fall 2017

There were 15 problem sets in Math 502, including two sample exams. Each student's lowest grade is dropped. The two exams together count the same amount as the homeworks (collectively) toward the course grade. (A portion of the course grade is based on participation in class and lab.)

Most of the class had high grades on the problem sets. The bottom scores in the top quartile, second quartile, and third quartile (expressed in percents) were 96, 94, and 88. To give an idea of how to interpret the numerical grades, scores of 90 and above can be viewed as in the A range (from A- to A+) and those between 70 and the upper 80s can be viewed as in the B range (from B- to B+).

Individual grade information is available on Canvas.
