The course will cover modules, commutative rings, fields, and Galois theory.
A preliminary syllabus can be found here . The topics in parentheses are not relevant for place out exams.
Weekly homework assignments will be posted. The due date is posted with each respective assigment.
There will be a written exam at the end of the semester.
Grading will be based equally on the homework and the exam.
