Math 150 - 001    Spring 2002    Dr. Gerstenhaber            Lecture and Exam Schedule

There will be 26 lectures (including reviews), two evening midterm examinations (each 90 minutes), and a final examination (2 hours).
Students must register for a recitation section.  There will be a quiz each week in recitation; the quiz scores are an important part of your grade. If you can not meet a particular recitation, notify your recitation leader and try to meet another recitation in the same week with the same recitation leader.
Most homework will be done online through "Calculus on the Web" (COW).  It is important that you learn how to use COW.
If time permits there will be a brief introduction to Maple.

All "Sections" refer to the text "Calculus and its Applications", Goldstein, Lay & Schneider, Eight Edition. Although Chapter 0 is part of the official syllabus, it will not be covered formally during the lectures. However, problems may be assigned from it. If you have any difficulty with these see your recitation leader immediately.
