Exam Guidelines

There will be 2 closed book midterm exams tentatively scheduled for the above dates. You are not allowed to use a calculator during the midterm and final exams but you can prepare and use one 8.5 by 11 sheet of paper (both sides) with notes of your choice. The final and midterm exams will be cumulative (covers all material). Only the final exam will be common (all 114 students take the same exam). They take place at the times given above.

There are no make-ups for the midterm exams. If you miss a midterm for a legitimate reason, your final exam score will count extra in your final grade.

You will get your exams back in recitation. If you think your exam has not been graded correctly you should take it to your recitation leader during or after class. All regrade requests must be submitted in writing. On a separate sheet paper indicate why you think your exam was incorrectly graded, and give that back to your TA.

Do not write on your exam. Once you have had the exam in your posession outside of class or if you have written on your exam you no longer can have your exam regraded. For example, if a friend picks up your exam for you forfeit the right to have your exam regraded. If you are ill and can not go to recitation, please see your TA during office hours or at the following recitation.

No quiz in recitation the week of the exam.

You will be allowed both sides of a standard 8.5" X 11" sheet of paper (cheat sheet) on which you can put anything you desire. It must be hand-written. You'll find that making the cheat sheet is an excellent way to review the material.

We will review in class during the week of the Midterm Exams. Come armed with questions.
Don't forget about the Sunday Review taking place from 7-9 pm in DRL A1
