Textbook and Syllabus
Differential Equations and Linear Algebra, Goode & Annin, Third Edition
Syllabus. (The times indicated here correspond to a regular semester).

Homework
Homework problems will be assigned everyday, posted on the course calendar. You may write up the solutions and give them to me to read and make comments, but these will not be graded for credit. So you may, (and I encourage you to) work on them together. This means think about them on your own and then talk about them.
Quiz
There will be about five quizzes during the course of the session, (tentative schedule on calendar) during the last 20 minutes or so of class. Quiz will be based on the homework assigned in the previous few classes. Quiz questions will be straightforward, with no long computations or tricks. Their purpose is to make sure you are keeping up with the material.
Exams
There will be a midterm on --
There will be a final on --
Both exams will be in class during class time. You may bring one cheat sheet. (Two sides of one A4 paper)

Grading
Quiz will count for 30% of your grade. (So each quiz 6%)
The Midterm 30%
The Final 40%
I expect the letter grade distribution to be around one third A's, B's and C's. You may use this to estimate your grade during the course of the class. But the final grade distribution might have more (or less) A's and B's depending on how  the class does.
