Math 350, Fall 2005, Problem Set 11

Due Wednesday, Nov. 23, in class.

Note: This problem set may be handed in early if necessary.

Reminder: Student projects should be presented orally and submitted in writing, in groups, between Nov. 30 and the end of classes. Topics and dates should be reserved no later than Nov. 23, by email, with no topic chosen by more than one group. Groups can choose from among suggested topics or can come up with topics on their own (subject to approval).

Read Rosen, sections 10.1, 10.2, 11.1, 11.2. Optional: 10.3.

From Rosen, do:

Section 10.1: 3, 9.
Section 10.2: 1, 4.
Section 11.1: 1(c,d), 2(c,d), 4, 12, 13, 17(a), 19.
Section 11.2: 1(a-c), 2, 6.
