In this talk, I will first introduce the lattice vertex operator algebra (VOA), one of the most fundamental examples in the theory of VOAs, and then present some results of my recent study on certain classes of subalgebras of the lattice VOA, which resembles the structure of the Borel and parabolic subgroups (algebras) of a semisimple linear algebraic group (Lie algebra).
