Department of MathematicsI will continue the talk from two weeks ago by introducing the Hitchin fibration over the space of G-Higgs bundles, where G is no longer GLn(C) but some classical Lie group. If possible, I will also present some results of Ron and Gaitsgory on how to view the space of Higgs bundles as a gerbe over a Picard category.
