The limit of a `toric degeneration' of an algebraic variety consists of toric varieties glued torically along their toric boundaries.  We explain how to do the corresponding gluing of symplectic manifolds so that homological mirror symmetry for the result follows (by various descent results) from homological mirror symmetry for toric varieties.
