We introduce the notion of moduli space of curves and curves with marked points. After a short discussion on fine and coarse moduli spaces, DM stacks and Keel-Mori theorem, we will give explicit description of moduli spaces of curves of low genera. Rest of the talk will concern divisor classes in moduli of stable curves with a focus on the genus zero case.
