In approximately the 19th century projective geometry was developed as the study of geometric properties invariant under projective transformations. I will discuss Poncelet's porism, a seemingly Euclidean geometry fact which is actually a projective geometry fact and from a certain point of view has some other interesting math hiding beneath the surface. I will also discuss some related results.
