In 2008, Chunwei Song conjectured an identity for the t=q limiting case of the q,t-Schroder theorem, and gave a proof for part of the k=2 case. Rewriting this case as a statement relating maj statistics of Catalan words and 123-avoiding permutations, we can prove the full case and propose some ideas for proceeding higher. The talk will be mostly self-contained and suitable for graduate students.
