In recent years, some speculations have arisen surrounding the possibility of applying ideas of quantum field theory to number theory following the pattern of quantum-field-theoretic geometry and topology. This talk will describe some preliminary investigations, especially the relation of simple path integrals in number theory to classical invariants.
