The contact homology algebra is a powerful new invariant of Legendrian knots in contact manifolds. I will discuss some structure theorems for the contact homology of a Legendrian knot in the standard contact 3-sphere; a condition for the linearization of the algebra, a description of a "fundamental class" in the linearized theory, and duality in the linearized theory.
